Avez-vous écouté le nouvel hymne de la communauté francophone de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador ? Sabrina Roberts, Coordinatrice des opérations pour le CSFP l’a écrit et composé. Elle nous a raconté comment ce nouvel hymne a été créé.
La Fédération des francophones de TNL souhaitait proposer un nouvel hymne communautaire. Un comité avait été constitué pour travailler sur le sujet et Sabrina en faisait partie. L’équipe recherchait une personne pouvant écrire un nouvel hymne et la chanteuse s’est proposée.
Sabrina a l’habitude d’écrire des chansons et de les chanter. Elle vient d’une famille musicale et n’a jamais cessé de chanter depuis son enfance. Elle aime écrire des chansons francophones et bilingues. Sabrina est très engagée dans les activités francophones de la province. Elle a donc pris le projet en main, avec plaisir.
Une liste de thèmes à aborder dans la chanson lui a été donnée. Les thèmes choisis sont des points importants de l’histoire et de la culture francophones à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador : Les péninsules, les racines acadiennes, l’Histoire des Inuits, l’Histoire des Mi’kmaq, les villes portant un nom francophone, la fierté de la francophonie et le futur de la francophonie dans la province. Ce sont donc tous ces thèmes que l’on peut retrouver dans la chanson que Sabrina a écrite. Vous pouvez écouter le nouvel hymne communautaire dès aujourd’hui en cliquant ICI !
Sabrina Roberts fait partie d’un duo de musiciens avec son ami, Chris Driedzic. Vous le connaissez peut-être : Soup’ du Jour. Ils proposent des chansons en français et en anglais, et même des chansons bilingues. Le groupe va très bientôt se produire pour la première fois en dehors de St. John’s. Have you listened to the new anthem of the Francophone community of Newfoundland and Labrador? Sabrina Roberts, Operations Coordinator for the CSFP wrote and composed it. She told us how this new anthem was created.
The Fédération des francophones de TNL wanted to come up with a new community anthem. A committee had been set up to work on the subject and Sabrina was part of it. The team was looking for someone who could write a new anthem and the singer volunteered.
Sabrina is used to write songs and sing them. She comes from a musical family and has never stopped singing since childhood. She likes to write French and bilingual songs. Sabrina is very involved in Francophone activities in the province. She therefore took the project in hand, with pleasure.
A list of themes to address in the song was given to him. The themes chosen are important points of Francophone history and culture in Newfoundland and Labrador: The peninsulas, the Acadian roots, the history of the Inuit, the history of the Mi’kmaq, the towns bearing a Francophone name, the pride of the Francophonie and the future of the Francophonie in the province. Sabrina Roberts is part of a musical duo with her friend, Chris Driedzic. You may know it: Soup’ du Jour. They offer French and English songs, and even bilingual songs.
